Deals:  

AXA IM Alts has acquired a 40 percent stake in FiberPass, a wholesale fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) operator in Spain, from Telefónica España and Vodafone Spain.

Eni has completed the previously announced sale of a 20 percent stake in Plenitude to Ares Management Alternative Credit funds, affiliates of Ares Management Corp.

IFM Investors, has acquired Green Group and its subsidiaries from the previous investor, InfraVia European Fund III, managed by InfraVia Capital Partners.

Macquarie Asset Management, via its Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund, has acquired stakes in Birmingham and Bristol airports from the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

OG Clean Fuels, a portfolio company of sustainable infrastructure investment firm Pioneer Point Partners, has entered the French market through the acquisition of Proviridis, an owner-operator of clean fuels filling stations for heavy road transport.

Sullivan Street Partners, a U.K.-based mid-market buyout specialist, has sold Octavius Infrastructure, a U.K. civil engineering and electrification transport infrastructure business, to RSK Group.

Sustainable Development Capital (SDCL) has acquired a 68-megawatt behind-the-meter solar portfolio in Iberia from Capwatt, which is part of Prismore Capital Group), on behalf of its Global Energy Transition Fund (GETF).

Swiss Life Asset Managers, on behalf of three of its infrastructure funds, has acquired an additional 12.53 percent stake in Spanish toll road operator Itínere Infraestructuras from APG. Building off an earlier stake acquired in December 2024, the transaction brings Swiss Life’s ownership in Itínere to 37.60 percent.

Wafra, a global alternative investment manager with approximately $28 billion of assets under management, has joined the shareholding of Ardian through the acquisition of a minority stake.

Fundraising:  

DigitalBridge has closed its third value-added digital infrastructure fund, DigitalBridge Partners III (DBP III), with more than $7.2 billion in fund commitments and $4.5 billion in fund LP co-investment commitments secured across the DBP III portfolio. This brings the total capital formation for the strategy to $11.7 billion.

Generate Capital, a sustainable infrastructure investment platform, has raised more than $1 billion throughout the past 12 months across its credit strategies, from an increasingly deep and diverse base of institutional partners. The capital supports high-quality, essential infrastructure amid a favourable supply-demand outlook for the North American energy market and underscores Generate’s ability to deliver resilient performance through volatile market conditions.

Movers & Promotions:  

John Apostolides has joined Rothschild & Co’s global advisory business as managing director, digital infrastructure & telecoms.

Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI) has appointed a new infrastructure leadership team, with Jonathan Ord as head of infrastructure. Ord has served as the pool’s head of investment since January 2024 and will be responsible for ensuring strong outcomes across the portfolio.
