APG is investing up to €250 million in SkyNRG to enable the development and adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) worldwide.
Ardian, via its Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF), has acquired a portfolio of 117 operational solar photovoltaic (PV) plants located in several Italian regions, with a total capacity of 116 megawatts. The seller was E2E, an Italian company active in the renewable-energy sector.
Brookfield Asset Management, through its infrastructure debt platform, has signed a new junior debt facility of up to PLN 575 million ($153 million) with Qair Polska, a European independent renewable-energy company.
Enfinity Global has sold a 49% minority interest in two large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects totaling 380 megawatts across Italy and the US, to Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure.
GIGA Storage, a Dutch and Belgian battery storage developer backed by InfraVia Capital Partners, has reached financial close on a 300-megawatt/1.2-gigawatt-hour battery energy storage system in the Netherlands. The €300 million ($345 million) financing package attracted strong interest and has been arranged as a “club deal” with a group of eight European lenders.
Macquarie Asset Management has agreed to acquire ownership stakes in three European airports from the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Macquarie are acquiring a 55 percent stake in Bristol Airport, Birmingham Airport and London City Airport. The acquisitions will be made through the Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7, the industry’s largest-ever fund focused on European infrastructure.
Principal Asset Management has acquired a key data centre complex in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
SUSI Partners has sold a 76-megawatt portfolio of operational utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) assets in the Netherlands to Ingka Investments, the investment arm of IKEA retailer Ingka Group, after six years of diligent asset management. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Vesper Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Bio Hold SRL, a leading biogas and biomethane energy platform in Italy.
Fundraising:
Macquarie Asset Management has raised more than $8 billion of commitments for its Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, bringing the fund to a final close. The amount raised includes more than $6.8 billion of fund commitments as well as an additional $1.3 billion of closed and funded co-investment in MIP VI portfolio companies. The co-investment completed alongside MIP VI is expected to increase further and builds on approximately $8 billion of closed co-investment across the previous three MIP vintages.
